FAS

One of NAAB's core international priorities is addressing non-tariff trade barriers and helping ensure continued access to global markets for U.S. livestock genetics. To support these efforts, NAAB works closely with the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) and its network of Agricultural Attachés and trade specialists stationed around the world.

This partnership combines NAAB's industry expertise with FAS's international trade and government relations capabilities, creating a coordinated approach to advancing market access and resolving regulatory challenges that affect the U.S. genetics industry.

For decades, NAAB and FAS have collaborated to support growing global demand for U.S. livestock genetics. Through programs such as the Regional Agricultural Promotion Program (RAPP), FAS provides resources that strengthen NAAB's international outreach efforts, including educational initiatives for producers, importers, and government officials involved in livestock genetics and related policies.
